Beyonce, a word of advice on your birthday.
I wrote this back in December, and it still holds true
Beyonce, Beyonce, Beyonce……..you have catchy songs, no doubt. You are talented, hands down. And your body is, well, yes bootylicious. But why the identity crisis?
For those of you not in the know, Beyonce Knowels now wants to be referred to as ‘Shasha Fierce’. (Only when on preforming of course. Other then that she’s just plain ol’ Beyonce) Apparently when preforming, she magically transforms into another person, this person being ‘Shash Fierce’. I guess it’s kinda of like Jem, except without Synergy and magic earrings….. (that I know of). Beyonce’s new album is called I Am…..Shasha Fierce. And apparently Beyonce did not write the song ‘If you liked it ( put a ring on it)…..Shasha wrote it.
Why Beyonce? It’s a great song. I love it, in fact, I catch myself singing it quit frequently. So why not take credit for it? Why do you need to invent another persona? Did Jay Z get mad? Did he say to you; “I already put a ring on it! WTF B?”. And in turn did you say: “Uh, it wasn’t me, it was a…….this girl, yeah, Shasha Fierce. She wrote it!” ?
Take credit where credit is due Beyonce. There’s no need to make up a different identity to explain your genius. And at the end of each JEM episode, she always learned it was better to be herself, JERRICA BENTON music company owner, then to be Rock Sensation JEM. But even then, Jem had the support and backing of the Halograms. Think about it, BEYONCE. Remember, you are truly outrageous.
Since all I’m thinking about lately is wanting to go to this Jay-Z concet next week, and that’s his wife, I have to say…
Sasha Fierce is a name B’s family came up with because apparently she is shy and quiet in general but they thought it was funny that she would be this rump-shaking hip-swiveling beast (In a good way) onstage.
She’s been talking about it in interviews for years. So she named her album after that. But it’s not like she’s Puff Daddy, I mean, Puffy, I mean P. Diddy, wait, no, its just Diddy now.
But she is pretty outrageous.
Jesus, I want to go to that concert next week.
