My (old as of today) boss got me this jacket as a thank you/sorry we had to lay you and all you co-workers off gift. He did good. Fits like a glove.
But he got me the pink and brown version. Yes, I said PINK and BROWN.
PINK & BROWN!
Which really just makes me sad because I’ll never wear it as much as I would if it were the version above. And I really do want to wear it. I think its so sweet he actually got me something related to something he knows I love.
Not only do I not like the colors pink and brown in general but I don’t have anything that matches it. Like any good New Yorker my wardrobe is made up of black, navy blue, and grey. I also love green.
And I have a thing about pink sports gear. I fucking hate it. Profanity is being used here to underscore my intense dislike.
Pink is not the color of your team. Either wear the teams colors or wear your regular clothes but for fucks sake do not wear pink team shit.
I was thinking of asking him if I could exchange it for the right color but he gave it to me without any tags of any kind so I am guessing it was discounted and that is how I got it.
Which makes me wonder what others would do. I would rather be slightly rude and ask him to change the color and wear it all the time than say thanks and probably wear it twice (if that).
I was trying to make the best of it but I just looked at it again and it is so PINK and BROWN.
What would you do?
